Hey everyone I am new to this so not sure where to post this question so I will start here. I am currently attending a community college and trying to get my pre reqs out of the way so that I can get on the waiting list there for the RN program. Problem is there is a 2 1/2 year wait to get in as of now and I don't even have my name on the list yet. I am wondering if there is a quicker route or if anyone in knows of anything in Colorado that would get me in school quicker. Someone told me that you can go the LPN route and then directly to the RN route? What do you know about this? I need suggestions on which way to go. The reason that I am at a community college right now is because the University (CSU) doesn't have a nursing program and I am just wanting to do my associates RN right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Wow, that's a long wait!
I don't know anything specific about Colorado, but you can check with the schools to see if they have LPN programs, and LPN to RN programs (a specific program LPNs can take to become RNs.) That may well be quicker than waiting at least 2 1/2 years to get into a straight RN program.
Hope this helps, at least a little bit. Good luck!
