Which review should I take?

Published

Hello all!

I am required to take a review course by my university. My choices are Kaplan, Hurst review, or the Sylvia Rayfield. Which one should I take? I am leaning towards the Hurst or the Sylvia Rayfield because it works with our school schedule the best.

Many thanks, J

I am taking Kaplan and it is the biggest waste of my time. If I weren't being paid to be there, I would so not go.

All we do is go around the class, individually answering questions. Which means that with 35 of us, it takes FOREVER to get thru just one round of questions.

Our instructor just might be evil incarnate, which does not help.

but seriously, the questions are going to be the same anywhere because they shoudl all be pulling them from the whole NCLEX bank. That said, I don't know of Hurst or Rayfield.

To be honest with you, i would look at it from the angle of ..which one do

I really need? Although my schedule is important, I wouldn't choose one because it works with my schedule best. If it works with my schedule and it's not really what I need to prepare me for Nclex, then i have not achieved what my goal. Different people need different preparation for Nclex. If you think you really need to start from the basics, content review, hurst is good for that. Kaplan is best if you think all you need is to sharpen your critical thinking skills needed for nclex. I've heard of Sylvia Rayfield being very good but can't comment on that because I'm not sure how it works. So, bottom line is, pls choose right and go for what you think you need and what would best prepare you for Nclex. Goodluck!
