I am posting this in hopes of hearing some feed back on which degree is best to pursue for a masters in nursing. I am currently in emergency room nurse with a BSN. Prior to this I worked on a telemetry/trauma unit and prior to that I supervised in a nursing home/rehab. I have been thinking about going back for my masters for quite some time now. For a while I was set on going back for education in order to be able to teach new nurses while still being able to work in the ED with patient care; however more recently I have been questioning if teaching is the right route to take or if NP or a business aspect would be better to pursue. Obviously I know the choice is mine and it has to be something I am interested in and wish to pursue but I would appreciate any feedback that anyone can offer to assist me with this decision. Thank you.
Well that's my problem. I can see myself education new nurses but I can also see myself in a manager position. At this point, being able to see myself in both situations I am questioning which is best to pursue for reasons other than interest.
