Wow!!! So I started my 11 month LPN program July 4th....last week was my first full week of classes. So far, we have had 9 exams with two more happening tomorrow. This is intense! I am working ahead in my A&P class while I have the opportunity to and I would highly recommend that! There are only 22 of us which is nice. Basically, we are taking three classes at a time with exams in one class almost every day and in another every other day. Craaaaazzzy! :)

@straitgirl77, Thank you so much for the nice reply. It really is difficult. I am so glad you are back in the game. We can do this, thank you for the support, and I wish you nothing but the best! let me know how you are doing. Thanks, Leenie

Its only my 3rd day of class. I already had a test today. I have one tomorrow. Then Monday and possiblly Tuesday. For some reason Ive been wayyyyyy hungry after starting school. LOL I keep eating and eating all the time.

Aspiring-thanks for telling us about your first week! I am prepared for a full load, but I have to be honest. 9 exams scares me to pieces!

Leenie-I also appreciate you sharing your program as well. I highly commend you and really love the attitude you have!

Jaycee-funny you should mention eating. During our registration and uniform fitting the instructor told all of us not to get a size too small thinking we would lose wait. She said she has yet to see a class graduate at the same weight they were before entering the program b/c the students eat due to the stress. I am in the minority and need to gain weight so I'm hoping that will be the case for me.

I started my LPN class in May and trust me it's no joke!!!!!!!! Theres about a quiz or exam every week. It's so intense. There will be periods of just sitting and staring and wondering to your self what have you gotten yourself into but after you snap out of it you realize you MUST GO ON!!!!! Keep up the good work everyone!!!!

Last week, before class started I couldn't eat a thing because I was so nervous. I lost six pounds. Now I can't stop and Gained it back. Luckily I am tiny and I don't gain weight easily. no matter what and how much I eat I have been in the same weight range for about 5 years.

Jaycee-We are in the same boat. Like you, I can't gain weight easily either. If I get sick, I lose weight, and it takes a while to get it back. I'm holding steady with what I've weighed for a long while now. Hopefully this program will help us a little..ha!

I just finished my second week of class tonight. We are averaging about 4 tests per week. I'm also working full time and studying my face off on the weekends. I'm tired!!!

I know this feeling all to well! The LPN program is very intense, we learn 80% of what RNs learn in 1 year. My dear, take this course seriously! When you start to get into pharma, maternity, and pathology you will know CRAAAAAAZZZZZZZy

Please don't call me crazy, but after reading all of you guys posts, I am somewhat excited to start my program! :icon_roll:thankya: I start September 4th. I'll probably be feeling like this :banghead: after the first week though lol. But I've been reading the Fundamentals of Nursing textbook getting myself acclimated to the course beyond what I know as a nurse's aide. I trust that God will successfully guide me through the program and I'll pass the NCLEX and I trust the same for you all!
