Hi,
I have a patient who needs help with her wounds. Leg ulcers near ankles that are not healing. She doesn't know who to turn to or where to get help. She is independant. We would like to post her photos somewhere, I realize we can't do it here, but does anyone know of a website where we can allow many people to view the photos and tell us if they've seen anything like this? Please help!

I don't know the answer to your question, but I have a few other ideas.
Is there a wound care clinic at a hospital in your city (or nearby large city)?
Has she contacted an WOCN nurse (associated with a local hospital or home care agency)?
Does she have chronic conditions (such as diabetes)? If so, are these conditions being medically treated?
Does she smoke?
Has her nutrition been evaluated?
Good luck!

I appreciate your reply. She is a non smoker. I work in the wound clinic and yes a CWOCN is on the case as well. She has had a dietician consult and no diabetes. Her wbc's are low. We have her in 4 layer compression and she's on cipro. When she goes off of the other abx, doxycycline (spelling..sorry?) the edges of her wounds get more red and angry. They are about .2-.5 cm deep and the length/width is about 3x5cm. The bed used to look like hard, beef jerky, but after the dermagraft we thought the bed was improving a bit. She wonders if it has anything to do with the fact that she is a hair stylist for 30 years. She's very independant and feels fine other than these leg ulcers. PLEASE if anyone know anyone we can talk too, please let us know!
Thank you so much. We are desparate.
