I received my LPN credentials 3.5 years ago and only practiced 3 months because I was recalled back to a job I was laid off from and had to go back for monetary reasons. I am interested in getting back into nursing and also pursuing my RN. Are there any ideas of how I could get back into the field. I have heard there are refresher courses out there but don't seem to be able to locate any in the Seattle area. I would be so Thankful for any advice.

Well if you just want to get some knowledge and lingo going, check out Dr. Gerald Cizadlo's podcasts from the itunes store. They are free downloads and the info is great. I load them on my ipod and listen during commutes and workouts (and sometimes to go to sleep). You have to download itunes and then search his name in the store. He teaches at a college and just uploads all of his lectures on patho, a&p, aging, endocrinology, embryology, etc. Beats the poop out of radio for sure.
