I'm a new grad RN, passed boards, but do not feel that I got adequate phlebotomy skills at all from school (I'm sure most of us didn't). However, I'm looking at a job in an office setting that may require me to have some phlebotomy ability. I know most hospitals will offer new grads phlebotomy training, but obviously that wouldn't be an option. Does anyone have ideas about where I could get some training outside the hospital in the VA/MD/DC area? Thanks...

Anne Arundel Community College offers several phlebotomy classes-one specifically non credit for health professionals looking to brush up on skills. Nursing 319- I believe. check out the web site and course search phlebotomy or another local CC offering Nursing.
