Where can I go to find a great CRNA job?

Published

Hi to everyone - I have enjoyed reading many articles and posts I have seen here today. I am not a nurse, but an employer of CRNA's and came to this site to find out more about nurses and nursing. I know, after reading the rules of posting, that job solicitation is not allowed, but I am at my wits end and would love some feedback on how CRNA's go about finding jobs and where you all look. My facility and the staff is suffering terribly from the shortage of Anesthetists at our facility and I am not sure where to go for help. Anyone with any ideas on this subject and where I could look to find members to add to my team I would love to hear about it.

Thanks, Kardinal :(

You might want to post this on the CRNA forum on this site. Hit specialty tab then Advanced practice nursing tab hen CRNA forum

Have you tried advertising in the AANA magazine or newsletter? Have you looked into headhunter or agency for help? You could try to solicit new grads by contacting the schools..............

Good luck.

I was briefly in CRNA before dropping out when life got in the way. The first 2 weeks of class recruiters would come and provide us lunch and pitch why we should sign with them. They had tuition reimbursement forms and if you signed an agreement to work after you graduated they paid for alot of your school. Anyways I know of at least 3 or 4 classmates who went that route.

Most CRNAs I know check out gaswork.com when looking for work.

A lot of us want no nadda zip medical direction or supervision, no artificial constraints on out techniques, like no spinal, epidural or peripheral nerve blocks, match the salaries and benifits of others with that and you can end up with the most motivated hard working CRNA's around.

gaswork is far and away the biggest and best website for CRNA's looking for work. my advice as one who has used it often, is to fill in all of the information, especially salary, and dont write in "competetive".

Thanks for the information about gaswork.

I'm in the first stages of pursuing my CRNA, so this helps a lot.
