When to start studying for NCLEX-RN?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Okay so granted everything goes well and as planned with my paperwork I want to sit for my NCLEX RN in either August (before the tough part of school kicks in in September) or in November after I am completely finished with my BSN(I am in a trimester probram=)

I see there is a Kaplan in class testing course in my area in June...if i was to take my nclex in november would this be too long of a study "time frame". Would I lose any information gained in the summer during my studying? Any body have any tips on length of time for studying??

The course is expensive and I want it to have the best result so I guess that is my reason for asking before I commit=)

Thanks in advance:yeah:

Most people schedule themselves from three weeks to three months out.

I'm confused, I don't think you can sit for the NCLEX before you've completed your nursing program. I wouldn't take a review course until I was done with school. They are typically offered frequently enough that you can do one shortly after graduation.

Thanks for the advice...Will def. take it to heart =)

@RadBSN...You can sit for your NCLEX RN once you have finished the ADN. My school has an option where you complete the classes for your ADN n start your BSN portion at the same time. Right now I am taking Pediatrics..the last class for my ADN and 3 other classes for my BSN..and will finish the peds class in february which then I can sit anytime after that because I will have my associates degree=)
