When should I start applying for CNA jobs?

Hi everyone. I am currently in my CNA class and it will end on June 29th. I will take the state exam a week or two later. I am wondering when I should start applying for jobs. One of the nursing homes around here that I have have heard good things about posted an opening yesterday and I wanted to apply there and a few other places but I didn't know if it was too soon. (wow thats a run on :))

Is it difficult to get CNA jobs in your area? If so I'd apply now because it might take a while for them to call you. I got certified through a facility so i had a job. Or you could apply after the class is over. Some places will hire you pending passing the state exam. Good Luck on you test!
