Many online applications have a box that states "Do you have a license for the job you are applying for? If you check "no" then it will say that you don't qualify for the job and reject your application. Unless you are applying to a nurse residency program or work at the department you are applying to, you will not get interviews until you pass NCLEX. There are way too many new grads that have passed NCLEX that are applying for the same jobs as you and hospitals will reject your applications quickly.

I graduate Dec 13
The hospital I want to work at is in FL. I currently live in PA.
I was on the site of the hospital I'd like to work at and they are encouraging new grads to apply.
I have a few questions
When should I apply ? (It's online)
Would it be appropriate to put in a resume now? Should I wait until closer to graduation?
Secondly, I plan on registering to take NCLEX as soon as possible, here, in PA
How long will it take to get my license transferred over to FL?
Would it be appropriate to apply online now, and put on a cover letter, " I am a current resident of Pennsylvania. However, I will be flying to Florida and am available for interviews between the dates of November 23-30."
Thank you for your input/suggestions
