Beside the pay and schooling. I would imagine that LPN's cannot do certain things that an RN can.

You're correct that there are some differences in the scope of practice, but this varies from state to state. The best place to learn about these differences in your own state is your state board of nursing. Links to the boards of nursing are found under the Links tab in the gray toolbar across the top right of each page here.
