I heard a lot about waiting list fortunately my school don't have waiting list system but tryin to apply to any other schools too.

but not sure what it is exactly

anyone can explain it pls?

Thank you

Some schools have a limit as to how many seats are available. For instance one of the schools I'm considering has 80 seats available. Once those spots are taken, you are put on a waiting list. You will remain on that list unless you have them remove you. Some people have been waiting two years to get in. I think because of their gpa and other things. Some schools dont have lists and you'll just have to reapply the next term if you dont get in.

We have a small and short waiting list. Our school accepts 56 into each class every January. You are put on a wait list for that particular class. The letters for Jan. are going out now. If for some reason people don't accept or drop w/in the 1st week of class, someone is selected from the wait list to fill their spot. The wait list goes away the 2nd week of class and you have to start all over with the application process the following year.

My school doesn't use a wait list except for backups for the upcoming semester. Basically they go on GPA and your ACT score..with a few bonus pts for taking A&P. The top students get an invitation. Everyone else must reapply.

However, SOME schools don't go by a point system. They have minimum requirements and if you meet those you go on a wait list for the next open spot. In this system it wouldn't matter if your GPA is 2.5 or 4.0, as long as you meet the minimum requirement you both would go on the wait list for the next open spot.

thank you everyone! I got it now!

good luck to ya all!
