I have an Associates Degree in Medical Assisting, I want to continue my education by becoming an RN - I also don't want to feel that my 2 years working for my Associates Degree was a waste of time; so I'm looking for the best way to do so.

You need to take the specifics of your transcript to a university and see what will transfer and what will not. I would suggest a BSN, but you CAN go for an Associate's Degree, also. Depends on what is available to you and what you can spend in time and money to get your degree. It may be shorter for you to get an associate's degree since you already have all those "basics"....or not. It really depends on what transfers. But I sincerely recommend BSN if you can do it at all.
