What is Trauma Surgical Services?

I am a 2nd (almost 3rd!) semester nursing student and have always been interested in becoming an OR nurse. I am researching residency programs right now in the Austin area. I saw a specialty called trauma surgical services and I am curious as to how this differs from OR?

This is probably a really dense question, but I did a search and didn't see anything. I'm thinking that it is for people that have gotten into accidents and emergent surgeries, but I'm not 100% certain.

Find out whether it is an operating room job or a floor nursing job, as in medical SURGICAL.
