Hello,
I have finished most of my prreqs, taking micro now and wil be done by May. My GPA is 4.0. I just got my TEAS result. My overall score is in the 94 th percentile for national and program. I did okay in English and Math but my science pecentile is so bad. Only 77th percentile. Actually the score sheet gives a break down and in A & P I am placed in the 33rd percentile national. I don't recall seeing more than one A& P question on the test and I know I got it right so I have no idea what this 33rd percentile is all about.
When I did A&P I and II, I received awards both times for academic performance so this is really upsetting me.
Can anyone tell me what to make of these results and what does the college take into consideration ?
Thank you,
Bella Donna

What does TEAS stand for?

I took the TEAS in January. Upon receiving my results, I called the school and asked what scores they are looking for. I spoke with two different people, both of them told me that they do not disclose a minimum score that they are looking for in order to be considered for their program. All they would say is that their application process is based on a points system. You recieve so many points for each requirement for admission. They would not give me a break down of the points system, or tell me how much weight is placed on the TEAS score.
I think that NGSCU's system for acceptance into the program is extremely vague. The rude treatment I have recieved from every person I have talked to in admissions and the nursing department makes me not even want to go to this school. If it were not for the rave reviews given to by students in the program, I would not even consider attending their program.
I have a 3.82 GPA, and scored in the 97th percentile. I have 4 more prereqs to take for the NGCSU program, but have all but two done for the other program I applied to. If I get into both programs, I will not be choosing NGCSU, based on my experiences so far.
