Members are discussing the process of challenging the LPN exam through the Florida Board of Nursing, including issues with school paperwork, eligibility requirements, and the possibility of obtaining an endorsement to practice in their home state. Some members are seeking advice on how to navigate the process, while others share their experiences and plans for challenging the RN boards after obtaining their LPN license.
I am a student nurse & I've passed everything but my last class of the RN program (critical care). Because I failed this class by 2.5 points on my exam, I am unable to graduate & am being asked to take the LPN course & then re-enroll into the RN program after working as a full time LPN for 6 months. I feel that's far too long after I've already spent this long to get my RN! I would like to get my LPN ASAP. I can't find any solid information about it anywhere but I've heard that medics in the military & other RN students have challenged the NCLEX-PN to get their license. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you for your time!

I think you have to make sure your state accepts PNEQ, because it's acceptable in Florida but not approved in some states

What do you need to get to pass the exit exam? Maybe you should try to retake the exit?
I can't, they only allowed students to take the EXIT exam ONE time. If we fail, we're out of the program. They changed the policy six months prior to my graduation date. They used to have two chances and I never heard of someone not graduating before that. The school was going through a transition process and the new dean was very harsh on the students, and also changed the rules because they were on probation with BON. I'm still devasted. I've called many nursing programs and none of them take nursing credits from other schools.

Most schools give 2 HESI exit try, your school is been so unfair to the student, mine has 2 try and if failed the second time you can retake the last course but by doing that you will get only one try for the exit exam then you out of the program.
Karla A said:Sure!
I tried to Dm you but don't know how
Karla A said:It's very unfair. They also denied my appeal to retake the class and withdrew me from the program. They stated that the criteria were based on GPA and other requirements and I did not qualify to retake the class. Plus, the program is on hold because they are on probation with the BON.
With not mentioning, they did not tell the students what kind of EXIT exam was going to be. HESI, ATI or Kaplan. They gave us the Kaplan exit exam which was very difficult.
Wow, am sorry to hear that. I sent you a dm and please lemme know how it goes and never give please.
Hi! Did you attend ICHS? I go there as well! Failed HESI twice.
I tried to see if I could send you a message but I don't see that option on here.
No I live in Alabama went to herzing. the school signed off on my papers yesterday so I just have to mail in the app and do my fingerprints.. looks like FL is the easiest state to challenge the only other state ik is California but it's not a compact state though

Hi Julie, did you ask the school first that you want to take PNEQ, who do you contact in the school ? Dean? Did you show any papers/ documents to the school? Or started the Florida PNEQ application first
My school is not very supportive, my campus was far from main campus.
