I just need advice or suggestions. I am currently a freshman at CSULB going into my second year. With the recent budget cuts and all, we have this new policy of taking only 13 units maximum for undergraduates (which i find ridiculous considering I'm paying $3000+ to take 15 units, but only allowed to take 13).
I'm practically done with my GEs, i just need science classes. I only have one science class for fall semester which is chemistry, but that's because that class is demanding and requires all my time. That means I'm gonna have to take the remaining three sciences in spring which is just as hard or maybe even harder. I tried to take at least a class or two over the summer at some community college. But it seems that allbiology, chemistry, and microbiology classes within a 25mile radius from CSULB are closed for both summer and fall semesters.
Any advice? Thank you for your time reading this.

I would suggest trying to crash those classes at community colleges. who knows, it could work!
Also, if you're stuck at CSULB for at least another year, you could always consider taking your time and sometimes you can get done extra classes done that you would usually do in your nursing school years. For example, I took statistics last year. It's not a prerequisite to get in the program but it is a class I have to take to graduate. You could also get your CNA and start working in a hospital. That will giver you extra points depending on where you apply. I would suggest at least volunteering.
You could also think about transferring schools. It's not the best idea, but it's an idea.
I'm originally from California and decided I wanted to do nursing while still living in California. I really disliked how they did nursing in most schools in Cali, especially the fact that most CSUs were cutting funding from nursing. The year I looked into CSULB, they cut the budget so bad that they weren't accepting any nursing applications that year! So I checked out a school in Oregon, loved their nursing program, and transferred to a university in Oregon and finished my prerequisites there. And I am currently on an alternate list for nursing for a really great school here in Oregon! If I don't make it in this fall, I'm going to start working and volunteering at a children's hospital here. That's my plan! But I'm hopeful I'll get called :)
