I JUST got my CNA certification and have no prior medical experience, what exactly do I put on my resume?
Just my licence number?

Do you have any experience in customer service/retail-type positions? If so, I would include those on my resume, as the healthcare field is becoming heavily reliant on customer service.
Yep retail and stuff like that, I didn't know that was helpful guess I'll leave it on.

Don't be afraid to put your past jobs on your resume, too!! Having a few solid jobs (hopefully ~1 year or more) shows your employer that you are dependable, loyal, and stick with things you start.

I listed all jobs I had in the past even they are not related to health care at all. My employer contacted some of them for reference.

Put your previous jobs in there and a description of a few things that they have in common with the job you're applying for.
Also, I put a section for "Skills" (near the top) that I learned in my CNA class. I had 2 resumes for this: one for hospitals and one for nursing homes and put certain skills on each one. Like the fingersticks, I learned during my hospital clinicals wouldnt be used much in LTC. Doing this, I was focusing the attention on what I CAN do rather than what I HAVENT done.
Good luck!
