What are the Prerequisities for herzing university Nursing program in Orlando fl

I am considering leaving UCF to start a nursing career at Herzing University. i wanted to know if they had prereqisisties that i need to know of before i consider them. I already have a AA from valencia Community college. I was thinking about getting my AS in nursing then my BSN in Nursing them attend Nova Southeastern for Physicians assisted program.:coollook:

Hi Lshealey2,

You can actually enroll into the nursing program without the prereqs and then take them at Herzing as part of their program. The entire program prereqs + nursing core is 22 months.

You can also take the the prerequisites at another school and transfer them in as long as you got a C+ or higher. This is a cheaper option.

You will need to take

A&P 1 & 2

Micro

College Algebra

Information Literacy

English Comp

Speech

Computers

Social Science

I did the same thing, they accepted everything from UCF except my speech class SPC 1600. I do believe though that has changed since 2007 when I went there. Everything else seems about right from the other reply. Just make sure to go to a counselor and get an exact list of what will transfer over, I also recommend taking some of your sciences outside of Herzing, I had a difficult time getting UCF to accept my A&P II from Herzing. It was definitely an uphill battle.

Thanks for the information. Did you get to make it to the information session at Herzing also. I got super busy that day with another school choice and missed my appointment time. When are applications due for the Fall? Are there any more seats left for the Fall? I would appreciate any assistance in getting this information. When i call to speak with them, everything is top secret. I really need to know this so i can decide if i need to pound down their door like today.
