I'm planning to graduate SUNY Buffalo with a b.a in biology this May. I recently decided to become a nurse, and now have started my search for some schools, with a focus in the ny area.
I know the schools that offer the programs, but I would like to know its acceptance rate, and how competitive it is, since alot of these schools prefer 3.5+ GPA.
I have a ~3.1GPA, and most of the common prereqs that most nursing schools require i have a B in (except for gen chem which i have a C). Also there are some I have not taken yet like nutrition, developmental psy (i have taken gen & bio psy), and pathopsychology. I have taken 2 semesters of graduate level physiology, but not anatomy, and I plan on volunteering in a hospital this summer. I feel that I am not competitve enough to get into schools like SUNY downstate..but I wanted to know what schools in NY that I may have a chance in..such as Wagner & such. If not in NY, then some other nearby states, thanks! :redbeathe

I'm at UMDNJ, which accepts at minimum of 3.0GPA from previous degree. Also, it's one of the cheapest ABSN programs and doesn't require nutrition or psy development.
