Bandage and Kelly scissors, hemostat...never know if you need to cut and clamp anything...also hemostats are great for unscrewing tight lines...although some units have access to these supplies...find out what supplies your unit has. I have access to various scissors, stethoscopes, and hemostats in our bedside carts in the patients room...everything is at a nurse's fingertips, or in the supply room. It doesn't hurt to have these accessories on your own...

Critical Care Notes is a good thing to have. A quick go to reference books when you have questions or med parameters quickly.
And a pen light.... although some rooms may have them on the wall; but sometimes the bulb may not work so a penlight is great/useful to have!
