What math is needed?

I'm taking Intro to Chem this Fall so I can take Micro and Physio in 2012 and was wondering what type of math is used most? I didn't have to take the math class to get in because I took high school Algebra and passed with an A. However, that was 7 years ago. I'm really nervous. :uhoh3:

I wouldn't worry too much about the math. Yes, some basic algebra equations may be used. But, you are taking chemistry so of course, that will be a focus. If you received an A in your previous class, you should be fine. You could e-mail your professor and see what he or she says. If your really concerned, get your book early, and scan through and see what the math consists of.

Thank you. :) I think I just need to brush up on some equations.;)

The math component for Chemistry I is actually not that complex. It is basically multiplication and division. Be sure you are comfortable with scientific notation and significant figures. Also, be sure you can manipulate equations algebraically to solve for the unknown variable.

As the previous poster stated...if you got an "A" in algebra then don't sweat it.

I was just wondering, why are some people applying to more then 1 Ivy Tech campus? Wouldnt that be a heck of a drive for some people if they lived in Jeffersonville and got into the Indy campus?

Also, if I took the TEAS test and didnt do very well in the math portion because honestly, I suck at math, and that is the absolute truth, but anyway, if I didnt do very well and didnt get into the RN program, does that automatically put me in to the LPN program, or is that something I would have to apply for too?
