Hi everyone!
I am currently in an ABSN program, graduating in May. Eventually I want to become a nurse practitioner or nurse midwife, but I am wondering what makes a competitive applicant. My GPA is excellent, and I want to do honors research this year, but with being an ABSN student our schedule isn't really friendly to anything but class, clinical, and studying. What activities outside of requirements would make me competitive when it comes time to apply for NP school? Is it more important to have excellent recommendations and work experience along with my high GPA and good GRE scores? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Research, good GPA, good references is the best you can do!
