What Makes A Good Nurse?

I'm currently a CNA and work at a hospital in Texas. I am attending school in hopes of being an LVN/LPN. I see all different types of nurses everyday at work, but I was just wondering what you guys think... What makes someone a good nurse?

I asked this when I was a new EMT. The man wo was precepting me, we called him pappy, gave me the best advice that has followed me through my carrer in healthcare. He said "to be a good EMT you just have to ask yourself, is what I'm doing best for my patent. If the answer is yes then you'll never regret a decision, or feel bad when you go home at night"
