What do you love about Charlotte??

Specializes in no specialty! (have to graduate first!).

Hello North Carolina!!

I live in Wyoming. But my significant other wants to move back to Charlotte after I graduate. (His parents live there). I've never been there although I have been to the east coast many times. I just want to know what everyone thinks about the city? And of course, I will be looking into a nursing job somewhere. Preferably a hospital. By the time we get there I should also have a year of solid work experience so I won't be a new grad but I won't have years of experience. Any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much!

Well I don't think you should have any problem finding a job. There are plenty of new grad positions in charlotte and by the time you move you won't be a new grad anymore so you should have even more options! I went to school in charlotte and I didn't mind it but I hated the traffic! The biggest hospital system in the area is carolinas medical center (CMC). Also there is presbyterian. They both have many locations in the city area of charlotte as well as in some of the more rural areas. I would definitely try to live near whatever hospital you decide to work for b/c like I said traffic can be a nightmare!
