Ok I'm currently working in a Radiology Special Procedures lab, but in April I will be going to work in the CCU. I have been doing the Radiology gig for 2 and a half years now. Before that I was in the ER for 9 and a half years. I forgot that I used to moonlight in corrections too.
newly qualified RN working in ICU wondering should I have really done ER!!
Why? Do you feel that you're missing something? My bro works as a new ER nurse-its crazy man. He's going to the ICU after 2-3 years. I think it helps but don't beat yourself up...learn what you have to & I'm sure you'll be fab!!!

Nurse Practitioner in Adult Health working in a hospital setting.
I went to school to work in the ED, thats where i work...I truly do love it even if it is chaotic at times, stressful majority of the times but something about getting anything and everthing that gives you such rounded skill level. I have thought of working cathlab or ICU but..I dont think I would enjoy the stress (days of wanting to quit) as much. :rotfl:
