What should I do?

Published

I'm currently in 3rd term of my school for lvn program. Unfortunately my school isn't a school with standards. So far we have had three different teachers and one worse than the teacher before. We are almost finished with the course, but I don't know what to do. Should I stick it out and finish while I teach myself rest of the course, or try to find a new school?

If you're almost done not sure why it would matter all that much if you had three different instructors. My school moved instructors around at will, which isn't such a bad thing because you need to adapt to a lot of different personalities in your place of employment. Not an easy thing to do - or so I've heard . . . .:)

Is your school accredited? If it is, perhaps you can look of the NCLEX-PN pass rates at your state board of nursing.

I would imagine it would be a giant hassle to switch schools this late in the game, so I would only do that as my very last resort. Yes, I'd say it was almost mandatory that you review and study as much as you can outside of what your school assigns you. Best wishes!
