Hello everybody
I think I'm starting to lose my passion for nursing...actually, well, I shouldn't say it like that. I'm starting to lose sight of the bigger picture and I don't have a goal i'm aiming for.
I have no idea what I should be doing in nursing. I have been a nurse for about 3 years. I worked in the ER for a couple of months and spent the remaining 2.5 years on a medsurg surgical floor.
I actually just got a job at a top 10 Hospital. I am well paid and there is more of its challenge due to its higher acuity, I'm also doing well on the floor but I just can't stop thinking about what else I could be doing.
I feel stuck and I want to expand my nursing career but don't know how...
advice please?

If you aren't happy where you're at in your career then change something. You have enough experience to go back to school, whether it be to get you MSN or whatever. Get some experience in the ICU and you can apply for NP or CRNA school. You can travel, you can teach.... the possibilities with nursing are endless! Do your research and reach for the stars.
Thanks, I been trying to figure out if two years is enough but this help assure me I should start looking into other areas. I see so many nurses get at least 5 years before doing so I thought I would be stuck for another 2.5 years before I could become competitive applicant.
I have multiple nurse friends that did there 2 years at the bedside and went back to school. It will obviously depend on the school but 2 years is a minimum requirement
