What do I need for nursing school????

Hello everyone!!

I finally got my letter and I'm starting school this fall at Mercer. What do you guys think I should buy?

What brand of sneakers are the best and will offer me the most support?

What supplies should I get?

What helpful books should I read before starting?

What digtal tape recorder is the best?

Did you guys use a bookbag, or one of the rollling ones?

What brand of sneakers are the best and will offer me the most support?

- My Adidas worked fine. Your feet will hurt regardless, and the inserts are just a good way to waste $20.

What supplies should I get?

- your school should supply a nurse pack. Check to see what that includes, but make sure you get a good stethescope (Littman), a BP cuff, bandage scissors, and a penlight. Sportsbras are great under scrubs; no straps falling down while you're elbow-deep in poo.

What helpful books should I read before starting?

- Slow down. You'll have plenty of reading soon enough.

What digtal tape recorder is the best?

- dunno. mine was a waste of $, since I never used it.

Did you guys use a bookbag, or one of the rollling ones?

- I just used a tote bag

Congrats on Mercer! I will see you in the Fall. By the way, you do need a PDA of some type. I got an ipod touch this weekend.

mfisher i will see you thanks!! I will be getting the ipod touch!! I can't wait to get it. I fell in love with it. When I get mine let's talk about what to put on there. I have have a list of apps already. I know that the school will give us nursing centeral and I was already looking at that one.
