I am starting off on a neuro/stroke/tele floor as a new grad. I'll be here 18 months, and then will probably move to a cardiac/tele floor or ICU.
What are the most in demand and highest paid specialities in travel nursing? Are there a lot of opportunities in med surg?
Thanks -- a hopefully future travel nurse.

Yes there are lots of opportunities in med-surg for travel, but make sure you have the experience and confidence to hit the ground running without any hand holding on your first assignment.
When you take your first assignment, make sure you do your homework before accepting any assignment! Be honest with the recruiters you talk to, and make sure you have everything you agreed to or that was promised in writing!
Make sure you get a written reference from those in charge or a co-worker before leaving the assignment. (very important)
Good luck!
