What are some good nursing school options in Florida?

U.S.A. Florida

I currently have a 3.9 gpa overall and 4.0 in pre-reqs and a 83 on the Teas test. I will be applying next semster to the UCF nursing school because I am a UCF student right now but I also need to apply to other nursing schools. I was thinking USF because it's near home but I heard they now require volunteering and I won't be able to do that before applying. What are some other nursing program options that don't require volunteering? Preferebly not too far from Orlando although if I have to then I will move far.

I wouldn't go on what you hear, and just go check out the site for USF. I am applying there as well for Fall 2012...gonna be a reach for me, but oh well. I would apply to the schools you want with the highest NCLEX pass rates...so UcF and USF are the top pass rates I think, but here is the link:

I would say all the state universities in Florida are good options. They certainly offer the best value if you're looking for a traditional BSN path or accelerated second bachelors degree program. If you're looking to move back to Tampa Bay I'd say USF is a good option. Clinical hours can be great networking opportunities so it might be easier to find a job in the area where you were doing clincal hours.
