What gifts to give to a nurses team

Published

Hi from Quebec!

My girlfriend and I are looking for some gifts ideas.

Our newborn baby had to have 2 surgeries on his second day of life, in a specialized state hospital, in another city. We've been there for 2 weeks and we've been blown away by the care the nurses gave to our son.

Now we're out, but we have to go again in 10 days for some tests. We're planning to bring some gifts to the team on that day. Any great ideas?

For now, we're thinking about bringing 2 gifts baskets (1 for the day shift, 1 for the night shift), containing the following:

- Homemade cupcakes

- Movie theater tickets, bottles of ice cider, gifts cards

- Pictures of our son getting better

- One, or more, letters

We'd like to give them something unique, but we're running out of ideas. Money isn't an issue, since the time and care they gave to our son means a lot more than what's in our wallet.

Another question:

We've been "dealing" with a lot of nurses there, but 3 of them really, really, stand out. Do you think it would be appropriate to show them some extra attention, without leaving anyone feeling excluded?

(btw, sorry for my English, I usually speak French).

Thanks in advance, I'm looking for your answers. We really want to thank them for making these rough times easier for us!

Gift basket filled with wrapped candies, gourmet coffees and hot chocolate, and even flavored creamers. salty snacks like small bags of pretzels, chips and trailmx. granola/fruit bars. These are the best gifts to get as a nurse...things you can put in your pocket and snack on. As for the 3 nurses..a nice card and a box of chocolates is not out of order.
