I am currently trying to become an LPN and was wondering what fields an LPN can specialize in?

Hello,
As an LPN you will be able to find jobs at: doctor's offices (any specialty), long term care facilities, correctional facilities, some hospital units, hospice care, and home health care. I am sure there are other places, but they do not come to mind at the moment. These are the most common.
Search online for job opportunities for LPNs in your area. That would give you the best idea of the current needs in your region.

LPNs cannot get certifications like RNs can (Certified Med-Surg, Ambulatory Care Certified, etc). You can gain employment in Long term care, ambulatory care, and a few hospitals still hire LPNs, but you can't take the certification tests and become a "certified nurse".
