What to expect with School Nursing as a Career

I am going to graduate from the RN program in December and have always been interested in being a school nurse. I won't lie mainly for the hours, but what all does the job entail and what exactly are the hours? I have not a clue about any thing involved in this area of nursing so please post any comment you have that may help including other classes that would be beneficial for me to take. Thanks

Why not ask at your local school district if you can shadow the nurse or one of the nurses to see for yourself?

School nursing involves lots of paperwork and lots of interruptions. Days can be uneventful or total chaos using every skill you've ever learned! One thing it is not dull or boring
