Hi there,

can anyone tell me what a CRNA earns in a year on avarage?

thank you for your info

Icenurse:rolleyes:

Specializes in LTC.

I have two sisters who are CRNAs working in the East. The youngest works at a surgical center associated with a major medical center northwest of Philadelphia. Her base salary is $92,000 (+ call time if necessary) for 24 hours per week. My older sister works at a medical center in northeast Pennsylvania. Her base pay is $65/hr. In addition, she used to work for an agency for another local area hospital for $105/hr. The anesthesia practice at that hospital made changes with their CRNAs and now they have to cover weekends in this northeast Pennsylvania hospital. I am not sure my older sister still does agency work when she is not working at her job with benefits. She needs to pay off her $115,000+ loan from CRNA school (2006 graduate).

ok, thank you for that. Is anyone that knows their income in North Carolina or NY?

look at http://www.salary.com.

Enter the zip code and nurse anesthetist in the job title portion. This website will give you the average salary for a CRNA in the areas of the country you are interested in. It will tell you what 50th percentile makes as well as what the 10th, 25th, 75th and 90th percentile makes.

Hope that helps-- I have always found that website very informative. There is also a feature where you can view what a sample average paycheck for a given job will look like too.
