Hey! I attend a small community college in North Carolina, my name is Natalie. I found out last week that the nursing program at a neighboring community college did things very different and I was just curious about how different things are all around.
For our clinical preps we are assigned two patients and we are to describe primary/secondary illness, pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, collaborative care management, nursing management, IV fluid rate, diet, activity level as well as schedule our time. We must fill out a drug card for each drug prescribed and we cannot reuse drug cards. How about you guys?
At WVU-P, it's basically the same as yours, but we can use the same pathophysiology sheet for others, just make a copy and attach it to your paperwork. Do you have to do careplans on each pt?
In Las Vegas, we have 2 patients, cannot reuse same cards for patho or drugs, however, our careplans are computerized and cut and paste work out wonders for same pathos and drugs...otherwise it gets very tedious....
