i'm pretty sure this is a sociology concept that you should be able to find in a sociology textbook. there are some online weblinks that might have the information, but your best bet is to look it up in a textbook.

Why is your question a link to a Yahoo page?

A community is a collection of people who have in common some important feature of their lives. Their common interests form the basis for a sense of unity or belonging. There are different types of communities:

  • Geographic: People in a neighborhood
  • Common-interest: Student nurses in an online forum
  • Solution: People who get together to solve a problem common to them all, like people who band together to raise awareness of a disease.

Seriously? Not to be harsh, but we're not here to do your homework for you. Your entire posting history here at AN (all of three) reflects your desperate need for help without even listing what you've done for yourself to resolve the problem.

Time to take responsibility for your own work, as you will surely have to do so as a nurse.
