What would you change about your scrubs?

Nurses Uniform/Gear

Published

Hey all~

I am doing research for a line of scrubs and would like to find out what nurses like/ dislike about their uniforms.

I am a fashion design student that recently spent some time in the hospital for cancer treatment this summer. I was so inspired by the compassion and care shown by the nurses and would like to thank you guys by providing uniform options that are comfy, stylish and help the wearer feel more 'individualized'.

What elements (pockets, elastic waistbands, tagless uniforms, etc) do you look for in a pair of scrubs?

What would you change about scrubs if you had the chance? (here's your chance)

What are the most popular colors worn by nurses? What colors/ prints do you dislike?

What instruments/ items do you carry on your person when you work? (pen, paper, hidden snack wink.gif )

What are the dress code restrictions at your place of work?

Thank you for any input. More importantly, thank you for always giving to those around you- giving your time, comforting words, upbeat vibes and patience. It means more than you know.

OH OH OH PLease design for me....I can only wear royal blue but can use accents. All I can find is r. blue with a lime green edge!!! That is it. like there is no other color to go with r. blue. For me...I like to feel that I look cute and put together. I love the "urbane" line. Most of it. The cut is flattering to most but needs to be slightly longer and needs more that 1 pocket. I just can't look that cute with all I tote. I find material to be a real sell point for me. The material that Wal-mart scrubs from the disney/pooh ect line is so soft and thick. More companies need to look at that. They also have the most awesome pockets inside of pockets. I, also, have the same problem as one of the other posts. Petite pants are TOO short, Regular tend to be too long when in the flair or wide leg style. I WILL NOT wear cuffs on my ankles. I am not 17 years old. I need pants that fit my waist not my Miss Molly. And, repeating what some others have stated...a badge holder on the left side that doesn't cause gaping. The girls don't like to be stared at. Very unprofessional. I would like to see an innovative neckline. Not the boring princess but not the "here it all is" v-neck either. Good LUCK and hope to see some of the suggestions here on the market. Thanks......BayouLPN
