What are the chances of getting into a smaller school when waitlisted?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I got waitlisted at a smaller school and was told they have 3 weeks to reply and put a deposit down before spots are given away. They couldn't tell me where I was on the wait list and said they didn't know. Does anyone know the chances of getting in when wait listed? And how do they contact people that are on the wait list..by letter or phone?

Sorry, can't help...just wanted to tell you that is how it is at my school also. Just this morning I called to see about applying to the nursing program. I asked a couple of questions and every single answer was " couldn't tell you", "don't know". Even when I asked "approx. how many students do you turn donw each year", they didn't know the answer. When I asked how many students they take, they didn't know, told me it was different each year. So after a 20 minute phone call, I still know nothing.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I know nursing schools are so complicated and competative! The deadlines are all different and so are the pre reqs..its crazy! It's like if you don't have perfect test scores and a 4.0 then your screwed! lol I just hope I get in after being wait listed.. haha I am tired of waiting for a response from the school! haha
