Widen your geographical circle of consideration for job searching. Or take a good look at the next nearest large metro area. It might be worth a time-limited relocation to get that needed experience so you have a better chance where you really want to work. And don't give up. Once you have made the rounds, wait a length of time, then start applying over again. Good luck.

So.. I graduated back in June and passed NCLEX in July. Callbacks have been non-existent. I know it hasn't been a long time by any means, but I am getting discouraged. I'm ready to start standing in the street and start handing out resumes. New grad market for ADNs has always been tight in Houston so I've been told but if I can't get a job as a RN, what else can I do in the meantime so I don't "loose" the small skill set I have?
