I still have 1 year left of nursing school but I am a nervous wreck thinking about the NCLEX. I want to begin studying little by little now but have no idea where to start.
Current state is Georgia.
Are the questions on the NCLEX things that we should have learned throughout nursing school? Will I be okay just studying and reviewing my notes from class??
I'm not a strong test taker... I have anxiety... and I have the tendency to overthink almost EVERY question to the 10th degree.
I am a visual learner. I like to write everything out.
What are some things that were successful for you??
Thank you so much!

Nursing school exams are more comprehension and knowledge based questions...to see if you've done the reading for that material since it's mostly content based.
NCLEX questions (or passing level questions) are more application and analysis type of questions. They assume you know your content and you must apply it appropriately based on the given situation.
KAPLAN teaches you how answer the questions properly, but their rationales are lacking. Some people has U-world, but I personally haven't tried it yet.

Hey! Don't stress just yet! If you want to get a head start, pay attention to your last classes for the year and take notes. I also recommend using Saunders for content. Maybe read a chapter per week? Take notes so by the time you're on your exit exam, you'll already be prepared content wise as well.
Once you have your content down, I suggest Kaplan and UWorld! Do as many questions as you can before NCLEX! Focus on strategies!
