What is the best way to find ER jobs?

Published

Hello everyone. I am entering back into the field after a 3 year absence (we were sent overseas with my husband's job) and do not have the faintest idea about the best way to find a job when I get back? Should I stick with the specific hospital sites or is there a better way? HELP PLEASE! I live in Northern VA...

Try inova.org -- they have hospitals (and ERs) in many parts of NoVA, and you can apply online. Good luck!

Yeah, I used to work at Fairfax and they (Fairfax) aren't hiring right now! BOO! Thanks, though :)

Fair Oaks and Mount Vernon both have full-time ER jobs posted, though. :)

Go in "because your leg has been hurting for three weeks", sit in Triage and then get made because that guy who just went buy in a squad got to cut ahead of you. Demand to be seen, tell them your great uncle in on the board of directors or something and can get those ER nurses fired. Demand soda and a lunch to eat as well. Eventually ask for an application when you get to the back. Oh and don't forget to demand a cab voucher on your way out.

Jay, now THAT is funny!
