I look at their website. everyoen has a website adn many places prefer you apply online. Google the name of the facility you are looking at and if you cannot fine it, call and ask.

I go in person with my little folder of job papers, dressed ready to interview. Nine times out of ten they will interview me and hire me on the spot. Unfortunately, I have found that submitting online job applications is a waste of time as they are ignored.

That's a great idea, but I'm wondering how you know where to go to apply? I live in KS and all of the hospitals that are in the area want you to apply online, however I think it is so impersonal and I really would like to do just what you suggested, but how do I find out where the HR office is and who should I ask for?
