The question pretty much says it all... ![]()
I'm taking statistics this fall along with my first semester nursing classes and everyone I tell this to says, "REALLY? You're taking stats too?!?!?! Good luck with that!!!!"
Can anyone give me a heads up? Math isn't really my favorite subject but I don't exactly struggle with it either. I know the teacher and he comes highly recommended! I have to take the class at some point (for my bachelors) but it's not required for my associates degree.
Thanks so much for any advice! You guys are the best! ![]()
Stats is not bad at all! It was much easier than calculus that's for sure. A graphing calculator is your best friend is stats...make sure you learn how to use it, and not just write out equations all the time. It's a time savor and makes it soo much easier! My prof was Asian and very difficult to follow so I taught myself using the book.
I'm also entering nursing school this fall. The only thing I would consider is how much time your nursing courses require. Mine is a 10 credit course that meets twice a week plus a pre-lab and lab, and clinicals twice/week. It's very time consuming but I'm still taking another pre-req, Human Growth & Dev, once a week. Keep in mind, I am not working the first 6 weeks of the semester during my clinicals.
I think it's really up to you and how comfortable you feel! Good luck!

I am VERY good in math, algebra, trig, calculus, etc. I would make 100s in math, especially drug cal. I struggled with statistics! IDK what it is... for some reason I just couldn't get it! I called my uncle, a college math professor, to tutor me and HE turned me down! said statistics wasn't his thing. IDK
