What is your ACC (Austin Community College) Ranking?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Just curious as to what the range is as far as rankings for ACC.

Mine is 50.272727 and I have no idea if that is good or bad.

I did just get a note from the ADN office saying "We are hoping to notify students by the beginning of May." Not going to hold my breath, but at least it will, hopefully, be earlier than June which is what I heard a few weeks ago!

I wish I could be hypnotized to not think about acceptance/rejection letters until one actually arrives in my mailbox. Then if it's a rejection letter, I'd rather keep not remembering LOL

Oh well, one day we'll all be RN's and look back on this and laugh.

UGH.. I just got the same email!!! Where did you hear June from?!! That would be a nightmare!!! Robin had told me it would be April back when I applied, but I knew that was too good to be true!!

My ranking is 45.40 and I also don't know if that is really bad or good, although the higher the better I think!

I had heard there was no waiting list back in December, but now I just don't know!!!! It is driving me crazy! I just want to know already!!

I was feeling pretty confident back in December but that has all quickly dissolved and know I feel like there is no way I am getting in on my first application.

I feel your pain!!!:uhoh21:

emileth,

I originally heard end of March, then June, then by next Monday and now by first of May.... who the heck knows!

I'm hoping for another situation like last semester w/ no waiting list! I think they are just being overly cautious because last semester they led quite a few people to believe they'd be getting in and then couldn't get the staff is what the rumor is.... BUT, once again who knows what the real story is!

Good luck and happy waiting :p

I got a ranking of 46 with a GPA of 3.7. I just finished the last two classes on the list, the Nursing Skills class and the Human Growth and Development class. Someone told me with this rank I should get in. Can't wait.

Looks like my ranking was high enough!!! I got the ACC acceptance e-mail yesterday. WoooHooo!

At first I was so excited and now the "oh my goodness what have I gotten myself into" phase has kicked in :-)

PS: Just as a FYI, if you are an ACC student and think you didn't get the message, check your bulk e-mail folder before panicking since that is where I found mine (yikes!!). Not sure what made me check there but I'm glad I did!

I got in also!! I am one part thrilled, one part TERRIFIED!!!!

Congrats to you!!

congratulations to both of you! :yeah: time to celebrate!!

I just applied for Spring 2009. My ranking is 49. It seems that it is high enough to get in, what are your thoughts? I'm already sick of waiting!:banghead: Do you get notified through email? How long after the deadline did they take to notify you? Thanks!

It took four months to notify for provisional acceptance from the first day applications were accepted. Depending on the class size, this may or may not be high enough to get in. I had a 46 rank with a 3.7 GPA, and I was 95 out of I think a total of 104 or 105. So I barely made it in.

They notify you with a provisional acceptance email, and then you accept or decline. From there you are notified that you must complete the Nursing Skills class before you can enroll.

I just got the follow up email about the background checks, scrubs, on line module testing, etc etc etc and orientation.

Good Luck.

What would you say was the hardest part/class of the pre req classes? Is there anything you would recommend to someone who is just starting the program? For instance, did you spread out the classes over 2 semesters? and which ones did you take together?
