Wharton County Junior College ADN program

Published

I applied to WCJC for the 2013 fall semester in Wharton well in April I received the letter saying I was an alternate. In the letter it said upon acceptance of the alternate position I would receive an e-mail with details about uniforms, criminal background check and the mandatory pre-orientation well still haven't received one. Anyone know the details or when the e-mail will be sent out?

Hi there,

I also recieved a letter from WCJC on April 9th saying i was a candidate for admission. I have confirmed my spot, but since then have not heard anything as well. Hope we hear something soon.

Hey,

I e-mailed the secretary and she said we would all be e-mailed the information as soon as she confirmed all the dates!

Hope spots open up for us so we can go next semester:)

Hello just wondering if those of you who got accepted into WCJC's ADN program would mind sharing your GPA's and ACT scores? :) I am planning on applying for this upcoming spring semester and hoping I get in! Also is an A in anatomy absolutely necessary to get in?? I've heard people say if you don't get an A you won't get accepted? Any input?

Thanks!! :)

Hi doloresruizram,

I got accepted into the program for the Fall! I don't remember exactly what my overall GPA was when I turned in my application, but I can tell you that I had a 4.0 GPA for my Sciences. I doubt that it is absolutely necessary to have an A in A&P to get accepted!

The WCJC application process has changed this semester, and you will now need to take the HESI or the TEAS V in place of the ACT. They now also take into consideration the number of classes you have completed towards a BSN.

I know this doesn't exactly answer your questions, but I just wanted to give you a heads up on what to expect in the application process!! Good Luck!

Hello I heard you have to pay for your drug test. Does anyone know if its just one or multiple tests throughout the program that need to be taken? Any info would be great

Hi the classes towards bsn is it a necessary class to take or it's just a plus for the applicants?
