I've been in the process of trying to start their prelicensure program for about a year. They have not evaluated my transcripts yet. There is another person who either started with the April cohort or who will be starting with the September cohort. She hasn't posted in awhile.

Hi Callioter3 I have been applying for PreLicensure BSN of WGU too. I had just finished the readiness assessment and last week and I called them this week informing me that I passed the readiness assessment. I do have an appointment with my enrollement councilor today so I will know what is the next thing that I am going to do. I have sent all my transcripts in college and in vocational nursing to them but they have not evaluated them yet. My GPA is above 2.5 and I do have a very good grades in my vocational nursing. But my only problem is my B.S. transcript is like 6 years old already and I was really shocked when I found out this year that they do have ths 5 years span for the grades of the student. Its a new policy for this year. and they also have this toefel exam for those who are using english as their second language only. I just want to know how your application is doing now. How long you have been waiting to get

to the nursing program? when you will start the class? thank you so much.

I only just saw the change on their website about the five year cutoff recently so I have lost interest. They no longer contact me except for the automatic emails. I am in no hurry to start retaking prerequisites yet again. My situation was good enough a year ago, I don't see why it is no longer good enough. I'm occupied trying to get and keep employment now, a more pressing issue for me than yet again shelling out money I can't afford to part with to yet another school. Good luck with your program. Glad to hear they are working with you.

Hello there Caliotter3. It is so sad to know that you are no longer interested on their program and to find out that they dont do any follow-up. Good luck to you looking for employment. Wish you all the best. You know what Caliotter3 I have been looking for a job as an LVN for 8 months now but I still cant find one. That is why I am really trying my best to study in WGU because they offer BSN at a very low tuition fee. I think this is more promising than waiting for a space in a community colleges. It is hard to find a job as an LVN especially I am a newly graduate and dont have any working experience. Convalescents and especially hospitals do not want to waste their time training newly grad. So my last sort is to study and be an RN where job is plenty, more opportunity for me to work and do what I love most being a nurse. But Im still hoping and praying that I will find a job very soon. Hope you will find one too. Wish you all the best and happiness in life. Have a good day.:)

Well, jobs for new RNs aren't that plentiful either, but at least you can say you're an unemployed RN instead of an unemployed LVN. My doctor laughed when I told him that.
