WGU Prelicensure Indiana 2015

Published

I am interested in applying for the Indiana cohort in May 2015. According to my enrollment counselor this is for the VA Hospital. Currently, I have a 3.6 GPA (anatomy I/II amd micro) with a previous bachelors. I recently completed my CNA program and will just need to take the certification exam. Also, I still need to take the TEAS which I am already registered for early next month. My only concern is that I do not have much patient care experience besides the clinical hours I did for the CNA program (hopefully this will be fine!).

Is anyone else applying for this particular cohort or future cohorts in Indiana. If so, what is your background?

I think you got great scores and a really good chance to get in. Study hard for the TEAS test. Get the TEAS book to study with because the test is kind of weird. TEAS Review Manual, Version 5.0 (ATI, Study Manual for the Test of Essential Academic Skills(TEAS)): 9781933107981: Medicine & Health Science Books @ Amazon.com I usually get the used versions. The VA is an awesome cohort. I think you'll love it. Good luck to you!

Thanks tsm007! I looked at your other post and I read that you are in the Indiana program! Which hospital are you doing your clinicals at? Also, once you submitted your application to apply for the program, how long did it take for you to learn of your admittance?

Honestly, things moved really fast from the time I applied until the time I was admitted. I don't remember the exact time though. I know they have 3 hospitals they work with for sure - VA Indianapolis, Eskanazi in Indianapolis, and Hancock. I think they may have some other hospitals added, but I can't be sure on that. I know they are working on expanding to other areas in the state, but not sure the details on that either and when that might be happening. I would ask your enrollment adviser.
