Nursing Students School Programs

Specializes in CMA/PCT FOR 25 YRS.

Any new students starting in Dallas for the  Bachelor of Science, Nursing - Prelicensure in currently or in April? I'm looking for any insight from past, present or future students. Any useful tips would be great.

Following! Currently looking into this school. I am a LVN and wondering if it'd be worth it to repeat some classes.

Specializes in CMA/PCT FOR 25 YRS.

Let me add that I was accepted to begin classes for the June 1st semester so I would be more than happy to report back with more information after classes have started if it would help you.

From what my enrollment counselor told me the program is competency based so people who have experience can pretty much take the classes the will need to repeat easily. My A&P man's Micro are past their 5 year mark so I'll have to retake them but in reading some posts on Reddit it can be done with ease in a few weeks and I can move forward quickly with my other classes.

Left out that I've been accepted.

My biggest concern/curosity is the clinical schedule. I keep asking for even a sample of one so I can see the format and they won't send it to me. Have you gotten yours yet?

I have not but I will as my former coworker who just graduated and see what she says and post it here.

I was was the first accepted cohort in the new program. Starting March 2023, changed majority of the classes and the format of the program. The clinical schedule you have is from the old program. It seems they still haven't made one, but labs start in the second semester (month 7) and clinical does not start until (month 9). The first semester (first 6 months); is 4 core classes that are not allowed to be transferred over, so if you have additional preq classes to take they might make you spilt it over a year. I only had 1 preq + 4 of their classes and it's honestly a lot of material to comprehend.  Btw I was accepted into March Houston cohort.

Me too! I was told clinicals don't start until month 9, but for labs I'm guessing may be after the first semester so month 7 ?‍♀️
